Herman graduated from Rider College with a bachelor of science in commerce, majoring in Finance. He was awarded the Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal student achievement award in his major and graduated in 3-1/2 years. He took responsibility for running the business when he was 26 years old as a result of both his father, the founder, and his father’s partner, Sidney Klein, prematurely passing away.
Herman has served on numerous boards, both public and private. He was awarded Entrepreneur of the year in Pasquotank County, North Carolina, the Printing Ink Pioneer award from the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers and has been granted 14 machinery patents.
He believes his greatest achievements come from encouraging the talented young people who currently operate the day to day business….. and helping them to succeed…..which they continue to do.
